Premier League Goal of the Month

The Premier League Goal of the Month is a football accolade awarded every month of the season by the Premier League, to the player who has deemed to have scored the best goal in the preceding calendar month. The winner is chosen from a shortlist of eight, which is then decided by a combination of an online public vote — which contributes to 10% of the final tally — and a panel of experts.

At the end of the season, the nine monthly winners plus one from May will be put forward for the Goal of the Season, which is chosen using the same method.

The award was introduced for the 2016–17 season and is currently known by its sponsored name, the Carling Goal of the Month.
