The Portland International Airport station is a light rail station on the MAX Red Line in Portland, Oregon, located at Portland International Airport. It is the fourth (and final) stop north on the Airport MAX extension.
The station opened on September 10, 2001. In the 2005–06 TriMet fiscal year, it handled more than one million passengers for the first time in a single year.
The station is located outside the airport's baggage claim area, only about 150 ft (50 m) away, with easy access to check-in and ticketing. The station's platform is a wedge-shaped island platform with both tracks joining just beyond, as the section nearest the terminal is single-tracked.
This station is at the end of one of only two single-track sections on the MAX system. The other is also on the Red Line, just west and north of Gateway Transit Center.
