Take That concert chronology |
The Pops Tour was the third concert tour from British Boyband Take That, designed to promote their brand new single, "Sure", and to promote their cereal campaign that had been ongoing for the past few months, with Kelloggs Cereals.
In "Why Can't I Wake Up With You?" and "A Million Love Songs" Take That played instruments on stage: Gary + Howard keyboards, Jason guitar. Lead vocals were partly sung by Howard in "Why Can't I Wake Up With You?" and by Robbie in "A Million Love Songs".
In "It Only Takes A Minute" and "Do What U Like" a group of children impersonating Take That members took part singing and dancing.
"Beatles Medley" consisted of: "I Want To Hold Your Hand" (lead: Gary), "Hard Day′s Night" (Robbie + Gary), "She Loves You" (Gary + Howard), "I Feel Fine" (Mark), "Get Back" (Jason), "Hey Jude" (Howard + Robbie).
"Get Back" was the only part of the show with Jason singing solo. Howard had solo parts in several songs shared with Gary. Mark sang "Babe", Robbie´s lead was in "Everything Changes" and "Could It Be Magic".
The Manchester concerts were recorded and released in 1995 by BMG Records (UK) Ltd. on VHS cassette, titled "Hometown: Live at Manchester G-Mex".
