Ponta Verde is a village and a promontory in the northeastern part of the island of Santiago, Cape Verde. Despite being a separate village, it is a suburb of the town of Calheta de São Miguel and is part of the municipality of São Miguel, it is situated on the Praia-Pedra Badejo-Tarrafal Road (EN1-ST02). Its 2010 population was 1,065.
The place name's etymology refers to a green point dominated by shrubs and predominantly grove like forest after the area was discovered, the forests still exist today even in the west and in the headland, and partly within built-up areas. Its headland is about 400 meters long on each side.
The western portion are hilly are mountainous while the east is not as mountainous. Agriculture remains to be its main economy but other businesses dominates the village as recent housing occurred in the village.
It has a church named São Miguel, one of three in the municipality. Northwest is a small stream named Ribeira de São Miguel. Nearby is the cemetery of Calheta de São Miguel located west.
