Pogonodon is an extinct genus of the family Nimravidae, subfamily Nimravinae endemic to North America during the Oligocene.
Pogonodon was described in 1880 by Edward Drinker Cope. Two species are recognized, P. davisi and P. platycopis.
A single specimen was examined by Legendre and Roth for body mass and was estimated to have a weight of 31.2 kg (69 lb).
