Pingu in the City

Pingu in the City is a Japanese computer-animated television series produced by Japanese studio Polygon Pictures and The Pygos Group. It is based on the original stop-motion series Pingu that aired from 1986 to 2006. The series premiered in Japan on October 7, 2017. The series was first screened outside of Japan at the MIPJunior 2017 event at Cannes. The series will be distributed by Sony Creative in North America and Mattel in China.

The series is adapted from the famous British-Swiss cartoon Pingu created in 1986 by Otmar Gutmann. In the series, Pingu and his family move from their home to a large city, where the inhabitants are all very different. The mischievous and curious Pingu makes a big effort to help the citizens with their jobs, but often messes up.
