Philip Duncan Wilson Jr. M.D. (1920–2016) was an orthopedic surgeon who brought total hip replacement surgery to the Hospital for Special Surgery in 1967. He started at the Hospital for Special Surgery in 1948, and served as the Surgeon-in-Chief from 1972 to 1989. He served as the President of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons in 1972.

Wilson graduated from Harvard University and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1944. From 1946-1948, he served in the United States Army at Brooke General Hospital, attaining the rank of Captain.
