Paul Miller (theatre director)


Paul Miller is the artistic director of the Orange Tree Theatre in Richmond, London. He succeeded the theatre's founder, Sam Walters, in June 2014.

Miller, who grew up in Chichester, was previously an associate director at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield. The plays he directed there included Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale in 2013 and the revival in Sheffield of Michael Frayn's play Democracy, which transferred to London's Old Vic Theatre in 2012. He also directed Alan Bennett's The History Boys at Wyndhams Theatre in London's West End.
