CBS released the names of the twelve new contestants on Big Brother 18 on June 14, 2016. On premiere night, four additional contestants were revealed, returning players from recent past seasons.

Bridgette Hailey Dunning (born July 15, 1991), 26, is a traveling nurse from Ventura, California. Originally from Fresno, she enjoys practicing yoga, running, reading sci-fi books, and going to comedy shows, as well as a big surfer. She was part of Team Category 4, along with Frank, Michelle, and Paulie. Bridgette was part of the "Spy Girls" alliance alongside Bronte and Natalie, and her codename was Spunky Spy. On Day 1, her team finished the first competition in third place and the second competition in first place.

In the first week, Frank (the roadkill winner) named her as a replacement nominee after his initial roadkill nominee (Paul) won the Power of Veto. She became the Head of Household in Week 3 after she won the "Kiss My Ace" competition. She later nominated Tiffany and Paul, with the former as the target. She later went on to win the Power of Veto that week as well, making her the second HoH of the season to hold both powers behind Paulie, who did it the previous week. Despite wanting to use the PoV on Bronte who was nominated from Roadkill, Frank assured her that Tiffany would be going home. This caused Bridgette to not use the Power of Veto, but it led to her ally being blindsided after Bronte was evicted by a 5-4 vote. In Week 5, the Head of Household competition came down to her, Da'Vonne and James and she decided to make a deal with both of them to ensure that she does not go up on the block. The girls agreed to throw it to James. Despite this, Bridgette was nominated for the second time alongside Frank. She would be nominated for a third time by Paul, but as a pawn to take out Da'Vonne. In the days leading up to the Double Eviction on Day 58, Bridgette aligned with Spy Girl ally, Natalie, and her former opponent in the house, Michelle, to blow up Paulie's game, whom the girls believed to be running the game. This led to the alliance of Paulie, Nicole, and Corey targeting Bridgette for playing both sides of the house. On Day 58 during the Double Eviction, Bridgette was nominated alongside her ally Michelle for eviction by Corey. She came up short in the Power of Veto competition and was evicted by a 5-1 vote. On her way out the door, she called Paulie out for his poor treatment of Natalie. Bridgette is the third member of the Jury. She placed 9th. She cast her vote for Paul to win Big Brother 18.

Bronte Anne D'Acquisto (born 1990), 27, is a graduate student from San Diego, California who is studying mathematics in Denver, Colorado. She claimed to have worked in childcare going into the house, not wanting the other Houseguests to be intimated by her expertise in numbers. Aside from her mathematics endeavors (where she teaches SAT/ACT prep classes), she has also done modeling and acting work. She has made an appearance on an episode of My Collection Obsession on TLC. She enjoys math, running, looking at dogs, and hair accessories. Bronte later came under heavy fire for her comments about James in the first week of live feeds, where she said on two different instances that she would "kick his ass back to Hong Kong."
