The Palos Verdes Stakes (formerly the Palos Verdes Handicap) is an American Thoroughbred horse race run annually in late January or early February at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California. A Grade II event, it is open to horses age four and up, willing to race six furlongs on dirt. It currently carries a purse of $200,000.
In 1971, the Palos Verdes Handicap was run in January and December. Prior to 1967 and for the January 1971 edition, the race was restricted to horses, age three and up. There was no race in 1969, 1970 and 1991.
