Outspoken Media Group is a New York City based full-service entertainment and multicultural marketing company, founded and run by an African-American entrepreneur, Terry L. Cyrus. Outspoken Media Group specializes in experiential marketing, branded entertainment, creative development, digital & social media, public relations, and brand strategy. Outspoken Media Group is a minority-owned and operated business and develops customized marketing strategies that authentically engage African American millennials.
Outspoken Media Group was engaged to identify new opportunities that would increase the multicultural brand reach of Beam Suntory. The Company decided to bring EFFEN vodka onboard to sponsor DJ Naim’s Celebrity Bowling Tournament and Sneaker Expo. Many brand influencers attended the event hosted by Hot 97FM’s DJ Naim including Darian Thompson of the NY Giants and members of the Hip-Hop community such as Naughty by Nature, Sheek Louch of The Lox, DJ Mister Cee, among others. The result was successful African-American engagement and effective integration of the EFFEN vodka brand message into a lifestyle activation and exclusive entertainment experience.
The first independent African-American owned film studio that produces television programming, theatrical, and DVD releases. Outspoken Media Group implemented a digital marketing campaign and executed social media engagement for "Shaquille O'Neal Presents: All Star Comedy Jam - Live from South Beach" in order to increase consumer awareness. The comedy show was filmed during the American Black Film Festival in South Beach and debuted on the premium cable television network Showtime.
