Orquesta La Solución is a Puerto Rican trombones based salsa band, founded by bassist Roberto Rivera in 1973.
The band's singers included Frankie Ruiz who started a solo career after hits with the band "La Rueda" and "Chiquito Corazoncito."<ref>Colin Larkin The encyclopedia of popular music: Indexes Volume 10 - 2006 Page 302 "Historia Musical De Frankie Ruiz was a compilation of the young superstar's 14 best tracks with La Solucion, Olivencia and his own band". The band recorded for the Venezuelan T.H. Records, later known as TH-Rodven Records and finally Rodven Records.
Roberto Rivera began his beginnings in music under the influence of groups of North American and British rock such as: Young Rascals , Three Dog Night , The Beatles , The Birds , The Grass Roots and others in the early '60s. He was part of famous musical groups that played that kind of music . Although he began playing guitar in 1966 that was started practicing and playing bass . Both liked the instrument that put the guitar aside and dedicated only to low . He ventured into salsa music for the 1970 and participated with many good and important bands in the west area , he liked the music of Eddie Palmieri , Willie Colón , Mon Rivera and others who were very stuck in an era. It was then in 1973 he formed his own orchestra with a different concept to which he called "Orquesta Solution " maximum exponent of salsa music . The orchestra is composed of young professional musicians musical composition being as follows: piano, bass, four trombones, conga, bongo , timbale and three singers .

During its existence, and because of great success and wide acceptance and sales that have taken his albums "The Solution" has performed in cities like Boston, Chicago, New York, Miami, Tampa, Orlando and the states California Connetticut in Canada and the United States of America to name a few; the Virgin, Dominican Republic, Panama and Costa Rica Islands in Central America and the Caribbean; Cartagena, Medellin, Bogota, Cali and Barranquilla among some most popular cities in Colombia; Lima, capital of Peru in South America and Spain in the European continent during one of his recent trips.
