Ormskirk School is a secondary comprehensive in West Lancashire, England, created in September 2001 by the amalgamation of two schools in Ormskirk – Cross Hall High School and Ormskirk Grammar School, an investment costing £16 million. The school caters for roughly 1400 students aged between 11-18 and includes its own sixth form for post-16 studies. The school has been awarded Specialist Arts College status.
In September 2004 the school moved into its brand new accommodation on Wigan Road, with the official opening by HRH The Duke of York occurring the following year on 18 October 2005.
Up until 2011, pupils were required to take an art at GCSE level. This restriction was removed for the then year 9's.
