Operations (J3)

Third level of National Level Command Structure, primary assists the Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff (CJCS) in carrying out responsibilities as the principle military advisor to the President and Sectary of Defense. Operations develops and provides guidance to the Combatant Commanders; relays communications between the President, Sectary of Defense, Combatant Commanders regarding current operations and plans.
