Oktyabrskaya Hotel

"Oktiabrskaya" (until 1887 - "Znamenskaya" hotel; until 1930 - "Great Northern") hotel is located in the historical centre of Saint-Petersburg's Vosstania square. Category - 4 stars. Year of Foundation - 1851.

The Oktiabrskaya Hotel is situated in the historical centre of Saint Petersburg opposite Moscow Railway Station.

The hotel consists of two buildings: “Oktiabrskiy” (Ligovskiy av., 10) and “Ligovskiy” (Ligovskiy av., 41/83). Major shopping centers are located here, famous sights of St.-Petersburg, such as the Hermitage, Kazan Cathedral, Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood in a short walk from the hotel. It takes around half an hour to get to the airport “Pulkovo” by car.

The hotel offers two buildings “Oktiabrskiy” - 373 rooms and “Ligovskiy” - 111 rooms. All rooms are equipped with telephone, refrigerator, satellite TV and Internet access. Guests are offered accommodation in single, double or triple rooms, for an extra fee an additional sleeping place can be placed in a room of each category.

The hotel provides a wide variety of services for holding business events, exhibitions and congresses. There are 8 conference halls with capacity from 25 to 100 places and 5 meeting rooms with capacity up to 25 seats. The hotel provides all the necessary equipment.

In the “Oktiabrskiy” building of the hotel there is a restaurant "Assambleya". The menu offers dishes of continental cuisine in author's interpretation of well known in the city chef Dmitry Scherbakov.

Every morning for hotel guests the restaurant serves a Breakfast buffet. There are two halls in the restaurant: for 70 and 200 guests, and a VIP-hall for small banquets (16 people max.).

In the evening of Thursday and Friday there is live music in "Assembly", musicians perform jazz, blues and classical compositions.

In the “Ligovskiy” building of the hotel in December 2011 after the reconstruction a French restaurant-confectionery “du Nord” was opened. The menu offers dishes of classical French cuisine and pastries cooked in accordance to original French recipes. The hall’s seating capacity is around 60 people. The restaurant is equipped with a mini-bakery. The restaurant serves buffet breakfast and also offers its own complex breakfasts.

Hotel "Znamenskaya" was built in 1851, during a century and a half it has had many owners and has been repeatedly renovated.
