North Wales Premier Cricket League

The North Wales Premier Cricket League is the top level of competition for recreational club cricket in North Wales, and since 2001 has been an accredited ECB Premier League as part of the expansion of cricket at a grassroots level.

Wisden Cricketers' Almanack devotes a chapter of each annual edition to the ECB premier leagues which it describes as the pinnacle of achievement in local league cricket within England and Wales. The premier leagues were founded in 1999 to raise standards in all regions to those attained by the Bradford Cricket League, Central Lancashire Cricket League and Lancashire League. For example, Wisden's 2006 edition, reviewing the 2005 season, noted that there were then 24 ECB premier leagues (29 as of 2017) with North Wales having been established in 2001.

The competing teams in 2017 are: Bangor, Brymbo, Chirk, Connah's Quay, Denbigh, Gresford, Hawarden Park, Llandudno, Llanrwst, Menai Bridge, Mochdre, and St Asaph.
