The 9th Congressional District of North Carolina is a Congressional district in south-central North Carolina. New boundaries were drawn up in Feb, 2016 following a US District court decision overturning the existing boundaries. The new district consists of Union, Anson, Richmond, Scotland and Robeson counties; a southeast portion of Mecklenburg county, and most of Cumberland and Bladen counties.
Republicans have held this district since 1963. Republican Robert Pittenger has represented the district since January 2013.
