Noise Pop Festival


Established in San Francisco in 1993, Noise Pop is the one of the nation’s leading independent music promoters. Over the last 24 years Noise Pop’s namesake festival has provided exposure to some of the top emerging artists, many of which have gone on to widespread acclaim, including The White Stripes, Modest Mouse, Death Cab for Cutie, The Flaming Lips, The Shins, Fleet Foxes, Bright Eyes and Yoko Ono. Noise Pop also co-produces the celebrated Treasure Island Music Festival. The outdoor festival, which celebrates its 10th Anniversary in October 2016, takes place in the middle of the San Francisco Bay. Hosting 18,000 attendees per day, Treasure Island has featured some of the best and brightest in the independent and dance community including Outkast, Beck, Atoms for Peace, LCD Soundsystem, Deadmau5, Public Enemy, and The National.

Noise Pop is also the year round talent buyer for the San Francisco venue the Swedish American Hall as well as producer of the free celebration of musical and culinary delights, the 20th Street Block Party. Additionally Noise Pop partners with various organizations, venues and institutions to produce events throughout the year including the SF MOMA, California Sunday Magazine and Academy of Sciences. Noise Pop Festival began in 1993 as a "5 bands for 5 dollars show"at the Kennel Club (now the Independent). Tickets were $5 and although it was only one day, it was called the S.F. Noise Pop Festival. It has become a yearly staple for San Francisco and as of 2016 it has expanded to a nine day festival across nearly every major and independent venue in San Francisco.
