Niluka Ekanayake is the present governor of Central Province of Sri Lanka. Niluka was an astrologer, before being appointed by President Maithripala Sirisena on 17 March 2016 as the Governor. She is the first transgender woman to hold the post of governor in a Sri Lankan Province.
