Nicolaes Millich

Nicolaes (Nicholas) Millich (1629-1699) was a Dutch sculptor. He was born in Antwerp and became a master sculptor in Antwerp's Guild of Saint Luke in 1657-58. Millich spent most of his life in Sweden. HIs most notable work were the statue carvings decorating the staircase and hall of Drottningholm Palace. He worked in during the periods of 1669-76 and 1682-88.
