Nic Fanciulli (born 25 August 1979, Maidstone, Kent, England) is a English electronic music producer and DJ.
As a producer, Nic Fanciulli has had many different guises. Beginning with his Skylark Skylark project (alongside Andy Chatterley), he found chart success with "That's More Like It" in 2003. Skylark went on to remix Tears For Fears, and form notable releases on Credence Credence Records, before beginning their own label, Saved Records in 2004. The first release on Saved Records introduced the duo's new guise The Buick Project and the 2004 single, "Drop The Beat". The duet went on to be nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording in 2007 for their remix of Tiefshwarz and Tracey Thorn's "Damage".
Fanciulli released his first solo EP in 2005 on Renaissance Records. Since then, Fanciulli has been predominantly a successful solo artist, collaborating with the likes of Dubfire, Stacey Pullen, Rolando, Joris Voorn and Deep Dish.
In addition to unleashing a heady collection of memorable remixes, including his recent rework of Jamie xx’s ‘SeeSaw’. Nic is responsible for a high output of a sleek, intelligent yet driving strain of house and techno, and is famed for his compilation CDs, having completed mixes for Renaissance, Global Underground, Balance and Defected In the House as well as an incredible three Essential Mixes; he is now gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated debut album.
Nic’s genuine desire to share music with others led to him founding what’s gone on to be one of the UK’s biggest house and techno labels, Saved Records. An important purveyor of international, underground house and techno, Saved has become a global brand, renowned for cutting-edge releases and standout events around the globe. Responsible for helping to break the careers of a diverse mix of producers, Saved Records has established Nic as a key tastemaker. Releases include tracks from the likes of Rolando, The Martinez Brothers, Skylark, Mark Broom, Spencer Parker, Andrea Oliva, Hot Since 82, Matthias Tanzmann and YOUSEF.
