As of the census of 2000, there were 520 people, 181 households, and 148 families residing in the town. The population density was 325.6 people per square mile (125.5/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 71.35% White, 25.58% African American, 0.96% Native American, 1.35% from other races, and 0.77% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.88% of the population.
