Newbold Quarry Park

Newbold Quarry Park is a nature reserve and former quarry in Newbold-on-Avon, Warwickshire, England.

The large pool was a former quarry used as a canal reservoir until the late 1980s.

Newbold Quarry Park attracts many water birds, such as great crested grebes, swans, moorhens and a range of ducks. The clean, limey water also supports the increasingly rare native crayfish, which look like small lobsters.

There are viewing platforms along the blue lime-rich clay spoilbanks and picnic sites. A car park is provided at Norman Road.

The quarry was a famous dive spot for locals from the 1950s onwards.
