The Vitality Netball Superleague (NSL) is the elite netball competition in the United Kingdom. The league, which runs from February to June, features ten teams from across England, Wales and Scotland. It is regularly shown on TV through the sports broadcaster Sky Sports, thanks to a major television deal signed in 2006. Vitality are the official title sponsor of the competition. The league includes players from around the world including Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, England, Grenada, Uganda, South Africa, Wales, Jamaica and Scotland.
** Formerly Northern Thunder *** Formerly the Brunel Hurricanes.
In 2016, it was announced that the Superleague was expanding from an 8-team competition to 10 teams. This change saw three new teams introduced to the league - Glasgow based Scottish Sirens, Coventry based Wasps and Worcester-Gloucester based Severn Stars.
The change also saw the demise of Yorkshire Jets. On June 25th 2016, Jets released a statement outlining England Netball's decision not to award the region a Superleague franchise for the forthcoming season.
