The Nepal Loktantrik Forum (translation: Nepal Democratic Forum) is a political party in Nepal. The party was formed on 5 April 2017 after the merger of Madheshi People's Right Forum, Nepal (Democratic), Rastriya Janamukti Party (Democratic) Nepal and Dalit Janajati Party, Nepal.
On April 20, the Tharuhat Tarai Party led by Bhanu Ram Chaudhary decided to merge into the Nepal Democratic Forum. Rastriya Janata Party, Nepal People's Party, United Nepal Republican People's Party and Shanti Party Nepal also decided to merge into the party on May 7. Liberal Democratic Party also merged into the party on June 2.
The party decided to join the Pushpa Kamal Dahal led government on May 8 with Bijay Kumar Gachhadar as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development, Jitendra Dev as Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation and Gopal Dahit as Minister for Land Reforms and Management. Citizen Socialist Party merged into the party on June 10.
On June 3, party chairman Bijay Kumar Gachhadar supported the proposal by Pushpa Kamal Dahal to endorse Sher Bahadur Deuba as Prime Minister. He joined the Sher Bahadur Deuba led cabinet on June 7 as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Federal Affairs and Local Development.
Since the party was not registered as Nepal Democratic Forum before the deadline set by the Election Commission the party contested as Madheshi People's Right Forum, Nepal (Democratic) in the first phase of the elections. The party had a total of 334 candidates contesting in the first phase of the election. Six members of the party were elected, one ward chair from Temal rural municipality in Kavrepalanchowk, one ward chair, two ward members and one female dalit ward member from Roshi rural municipality in Kavrepalanchowk and one ward member from Thuli Bheri municipality in Rolpa.
