Nell Rose Hudson is an English actress best known for her recurring role as Laoghaire MacKenzie in the Starz television drama series Outlander and Victoria (TV series).
In 2012, Hudson graduated from the Oxford School of Drama in acting.
Hudson first started her career as a guest star in the eleventh episode of the fifteenth series of the BBC One medical drama television series Holby City. In 2014, she landed the part as Laoghaire MacKenzie in Outlander. On her character during the series' mid-season episode, Hudson stated that "when you are in just a lot of pain, it comes out as anger… I think that's quite a human characteristic, basically, and I think that's definitely what happens is that she's [Laoghaire] got all this pain and she doesn't know what to do with it and it comes out in this very kind of aggressive way and she does whatever she can do to rectify the situation."
Hudson guest-starred as Paulette Roland, a 17-year-old diabetic who discovers that she is pregnant and is presented with the possibility of a dangerous pregnancy or a legal abortion, in the sixth episode of the fourth series of the BBC medical period drama series Call the Midwife, which aired on 22 February 2015.
Nell Hudson also appeared in the TV series "Victoria", a biopic on the life of Queen Victoria. Hudson played the part of Miss Skerrett, who (in the TV series) worked in the royal household mending stockings and doing the Queen's hair. </ref> {cite web| Victoria</ref>
