The 1969–70 National Hurling League was the 38th season of the NHL, an annual hurling competition for the GAA county teams. After winning the home tournament, Cork went to New York for a two-legged final. After an ill-tempered second leg the referee Clem Foley was knocked unconscious by New York supporters.
