The National Basketball League (Lithuanian: Nacionalinė krepšinio lyga) was founded in 2005. NKL is the second-tier basketball minor league (the top division is Lietuvos Krepšinio Lyga (LKL) in Lithuania. Currently the NKL consists of 14 teams.
