Sri N.H.Shivashankara Reddy is an Indian politician who is a Member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly from the Indian National Congress.
He was born on 24 September 1954 at Gowribidanur Taluk, Chikkaballapura District (Karnataka,India) to late Sri N.S. Hanumantha Reddy, into an affluent family that consisted of Indian freedom fighters, who had struggled in the past, for the eradication of social evils and the progress of the socially and economically backward sections of the Indian society.
He holds a bachelors degree in agricultural sciences B.Sc (Agriculture) from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, Karnataka.
Reddy was first elected to the Karnataka Assembly as an independent candidate in the year 1999. Having won his seat as an independent candidate, he was subsequently accepted to the INC ticket in 2004 and 2008.
