The North-West Tasmania Thunder is a men's basketball team from Ulverstone, Tasmania that plays in the South East Australian Basketball League (SEABL). Established in 1986, the team found success for the first time in 1996, winning the CBA's south division title before going on to win the national title behind the play of forward Dave Biwer, the MVP of the title match.
In 1999, the team became known as the Brewers, having previously been known as the Originals. They changed names again in 2003, becoming the Thunder. The following year, they won their second south division title and made it through to the National Final, where they lost to the Cairns Marlins.
