NGC 7022 is a barred lenticular galaxy located about 95 million light-years away from Earth in the constellation Indus. NGC 7022's calculated velocity is 2308 km/s. NGC 7022 has an estimated diameter of 57,350 light-years. The galaxy was discovered by astronomer John Herschel on October 2, 1834.
NGC 7022 appears to be located in the Indus triplet of galaxies which also contains the galaxies NGC 7049, NGC 7041, and NGC 7029.
