Murter is a town on the eponymous island of Murter in central Dalmatia, Croatia. It forms a municipality of Murter-Kornati, which is separate from the municipality of Tisno that covers the rest of the island.
In the 2011 census, the population was 2,044, including 19 residents of the Kornati. In the same census, an absolute majority were ethnic Croats with 97.65%.
