Muriel Adrienne Isidore Orais is a model, environmentalist, nurse, and beauty queen from the Philippines who won Miss Philippines Water 2011 and Miss Olive-C Campus Model 2010.
Orais was born on September 29, 1991 in Cebu City, Philippines. She has never met her father while she's the only child of her mother, Desiree Grace Orais. She took Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the Cebu Institute of Medicine (Velez College). In 2010, she had an open heart surgery due to cystic teratoma.
As a model, she has walked the ramp in the Philippine Fashion Week, Cebu Fashion Week, and Mindanao Fashion Week. Her foray in modeling started when she joined and won in the regional Campus Model search in Cebu in 2009. She then competed in the national finals in Manila in 2010 and eventually won the Miss Olive-C Campus Model 2010. She was discovered by Jim of Psalmstre and now works as a model under CREWorks Asia.
Orais represented Cebu City at Miss Philippines Earth 2011 and won Miss Philippines Water 2011 which was held at the Puerto Prinsesa Coliseum in Palawan, Philippines on June 5, 2011. She also won special awards in subsidiary contests such as Best in Amazon Wear, Best in Casual Wear, Miss Photogenic, Best in Long Gown (first runner up), Miss Ever Bilena, Gandang Ricky Reyes award, Miss Catanauan Cove, Miss RCBC (Top 10), Miss Santacruzan, Miss Globe, and the Rosa Mystica title in the Resorts World Santacruzan parade.
Orais has been an advocate of low-carbon lifestyle. In an interview with Top Gear Philippines in August 2011, she promoted the use of hybrid vehicles and made a statement that "hybrids are one solution to having cleaner air because their fossil-fuel consumption is cut down to almost half, and so is their emission level. And also, going back to the basics (walking and riding a bike) is one of the best ways to having a cleaner environment."
