Mukund Purohit is successful Indo - Canadian entrepreneur who is chairman and managing director of Neapolitan Pizza Limited . Mr. Purohit works for the Government of India towards developing bilateral relationship between India and Canada. He was the person because of who the Canadian business delegation went to Gujarat in January 2009 for the first time; Senator Consiglio Di Nino and Patrick Brown M.P. attended "Vibrant Gujarat" Investor's summit 2009, with 32 prominent businessmen from Ontario. Mr. Purohit is also the Director - Vcare Project Management Consultant Inc. (Canada), Director - Panorama India (Panorama India was established with the support of Consulate General of India as a non-profit umbrella organization with a goal to help unite all Indo-Canadian cultural associations and groups in the (GTA - Toronto), Member - Indo Canadian Business Chamber (ICBC), Gujarat Council,(India)- Member- Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) (Canada), Executive Fellow - Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, Vice President - My Home India (NGO - India), Co Chair – ( India ) - Canada India Foundation (Canada) , International Commissioner of Hindustan Scouts and Guides (India)
Mr. Purohit has also worked as an advisor/consultant to the Ministry of Economy for the Government of Saskatchewan 2011 to 2014, Advisor/consultant to the Government of New Brunswick 2014, President -Gujarati Business Association Canada (GBA) 2003 to 2007, Chair of Advisory Board – Canada India Bilateral Trade Association.
Mr. Purohit is recipient of the highest honour Pravasi Bhartiya Samman Award from Pranab Mukherjee , the president of India. The Government of Canada has recognized Mr. Purohit’s services for contributions made to Canada by awarding him with prestigious “Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal 2012” Also, Mr. Purohit received the Canada India Foundation's 2010 Gauravanto Gujarati Award, and Canada-India Friendship Medal from the House of Commons and Canada-India Parliamentary Friendship Group's 2012.
He has also been a producer of the Bollywood movie Zed Plus. Mr.Purohit is also a social activist who supports and raises funds for the "Kanya Kelvin Yojana (literacy campaign for young girls,deprived of basic education in Gujarat, India) and works for several other charities.
