Mudichur is a Census Town and residential locality in Southern part of the Metropolitan city Chennai in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Mudichur Comes under Tambaram Taulk and St Thomas Mount Panchayat union. Mudichur lies between Perungalathur and Tambaram Mudichur road just 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) from Tambaram.

Mudichur Town Set to Upgrade as Chennai Tambaram Corporation soon. A proposal was made to TN Government to make Tambaram as Chennai Tambaram Corporation zone .Tambaram corporation will encompass two municipalities Tambaram Sembakkam, four town panchayats in Perungalathur, Peerkankaranai, Madambakkam and Chitlapakkam, and seven village panchayats including Mudichur, Medavakkam, Vengaivasal, Agaramthen.
A proposal for creating three independent municipal corporations Tambaram, Pallavaram ,Avadi under the consideration of the government, official sources privy to the de velopments said. "We have sent the proposal a few weeks ago. It is under consideration of the government," an official with the commissionerate of municipal administration.
