Mouk is an animated television series (62 x 11') produced by the French company Millimages, adapted from the work of Marc Boutavant, and directed by François Narboux. It premiered on Disney Junior (UK). According to Millimages, a 2nd season of 104 11-minute episodes and 30 1 minute episodes are currently in production.
From Ouagadougou to New York, from Australia to Madagascar and Greece, the two buddies discover the world and its inhabitants... And as everything's different from home, adventure is always at the end of the road! Join them as they discover a modern, realistic and colourful world. Surprising characters, breathtaking landscapes or unknown traditions: our two travellers discover foreign worlds... Beyond all differences, they share a beautiful experience and make friends from all over the world.
Each episode begins with Mouk and Chavapa chatting via webcam to their friends Popo and Mita back home. The friends say how excited they are to tell Mouk and Chavapa something interesting that has happened to them, but before they can, Mouk interrupts with a story of his travels. The friends usually do not get the chance to tell their story.
In Canada this airs on TVO Kids.
TVO Kids has a flash game based on the show where several regions can be explored with an associated character.
