Morris Singer


Morris Singer is a British art foundry, established in 1848, famous for its sculptures, including Eros, the lions at Trafalgar Square and the doors to the Bank of England, plus also the figures of Henry Moore.

Morris Singer was established in 1848 in Frome by John Webb Singer, as the Frome Art Metal Works and is now based in Lasham, Hampshire.

The foundry became an assets of a public company in 1984, which the owner of the foundry reverse takeover a public limited company, renaming it into William Morris Fine Arts plc. However, the plc later sold the foundry.

In 2006 Morris Singer Foundry Ltd went into administration. It was subsequently relaunched as the Morris Singer Art Foundry Ltd in Lasham Hampshire in 2011 with many of the original team of foundry-men and craftsmen. Morris Singer specialises in sand castings and lost wax process.
