Moodar Koodam (English: Fools Gathering) is a 2013 Tamil neo-noir musical black comedy film written, produced and directed by debutante director Naveen. The film stars the director himself alongside newcomers Sendrayan, Rajaji and Kuberan. Oviya, Anupama Kumar and Jayaprakash play other pivotal roles. The film was produced by director Naveen himself under the "White Shadows Productions" banner with Pandiraj releasing the movie through his Pasanga Productions. The music is by Natarajan Sankaran. This is a remake of a Korean movie "Attack the Gas station" This film received positive reviews.
The story begins with a chance meeting of four youngsters (Naveen, Sendrayan, Kuberan and Rajaji aka " White " ) in a police station where they are held in connection with a robbery case. Disillutioned with society and their place in it, they plan to rob White's treacherous uncle, who they believe has left for a pilgrimage with his entire family. But instead they find them pretty much at home and get involved in a quagmire involving money lenders, enforcers and the mafia.
Music was composed by newcomer Natrajan Sankaran. Behindwoods wrote: "Offers difference but short of variety".
The satellite rights of the film were sold to STAR Vijay.
Though the movie was not much advertised, it gained highly positive reviews from the viewers.
The film won the Best Dialogues award at the 8th Vijay Awards and was nominated in two other categories: Best Debut Director and Best Screenplay.
