Monique Villa

Monique Villa is the CEO of the Thomson Reuters Foundation and has been ranked 66th most world’s influential people in Business Ethics. In 2015, Villa received the Champions for Change Awardfrom the International Center for Research on Women. Villa sits on the Board of Transparentem and on the Advisory Board of the Freedom Fund.

Earlier in her career, Villa was Managing Director of Reuters Media and Chairman of Action Images. She has also worked for Agence France-Presse as a senior journalistic and then UK Bureau Chief and Head of Strategy & Business Development. Villa became CEO of the Thomson Reuters Foundation in 2008. Under her appointment she created TrustLaw and Trust Conference (previously called Trust Women).
