Mitch Leidner (born January 17, 1994) is an American football quarterback. He played college football for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers. He was the team's starting quarterback from 2013 to 2016
A 2012 graduate of Lakeville South High School. Mitch Leidner's achievements include helping lead his team to a 15–7 record as a junior and senior, including a 2010 section championship, earning all-metro and all-conference honors as a senior, being named honorable mention all-state in 2011,all-conference and honorable mention all-state choice as a junior in 2010.He passed for 2,096 yards and 17 scores in 2010, tallied 724 yards and 10 passing touchdowns as a senior, and holds school record for single-game touchdown passes with six. He was coached by Larry Thompson.
Liedner has played 29 career games with an 18–11 record, starting 23 of those games with a 14–9 record. Leidner has rushed 980 career yards and 20 touchdowns, he has passed 3,727 yards and 21 touchdowns. Some of his accomplishments would be that he has tied a school record for quarterbacks when he rushed four touchdowns in one game in 2013 against San Jose State as a redshirt freshman
