Miss Sloane is a 2016 political thriller film directed by John Madden and written by Jonathan Perera. The film stars Jessica Chastain, Mark Strong, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Michael Stuhlbarg, Alison Pill, Jake Lacy, John Lithgow and Sam Waterston.

The film had its world premiere on November 11, 2016 at the AFI Fest and was released in the United States on November 25, 2016 by EuropaCorp on a limited release before opening wide on December 9, 2016, and is scheduled to be released in France on March 8, 2017. It received generally positive reviews and Chastain's performance was acclaimed by critics. Chastain also received a nomination for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Drama.

Elizabeth Sloane (Jessica Chastain) is a cutthroat lobbyist who revels on power and is a functioning paranoid. Additionally she is an adrenaline and pill junkie, she advocates for reducing taxes on imported palm oil for Asian governments but she finds a sense of morality and works to strengthen universal background checks bill against her employer's position. She works against the Gun lobby's with their opposition team. She wins at first but hits a snag which was something she foresaw and have placed illegal measures to counter any offense and shape the outcome. She finally spends time in prison for her wrong doings and finds peace. Her rogue measures influenced the bill.

In September 2015, it was announced that Jessica Chastain had been cast in the film, with John Madden directing the film from a screenplay by Jonathan Perera. Ben Browning would produce under his FilmNation Entertainment banner and Patrick Chu would executive produce, while EuropaCorp would handle worldwide distribution, produce, and finance the film. In January 2016, it was announced that Alison Pill had joined the cast of the film. That same month, Jake Lacy and Gugu Mbatha-Raw joined the cast of the film. In February 2016, Douglas Smith, Mark Strong, Michael Stuhlbarg, Sam Waterston, John Lithgow, and Enis Esmer joined the cast. In March 2016, Meghann Fahy joined the cast of the film.Max Richter composed the film's score.
