Mirel Çota (born 14 May 1988, in Librazhd) is an Albanian footballer who plays as a striker for Sopoti Librazhd in the Albanian First Division.

In end of July 2014, Çota joined newly promoted club KF Elbasani for an undisclosed fee. Then he went in Struga where his team was doing the pre-season training. He debuted with club in the opening week one 2014–15 Albanian Superliga on 23 August in a 1–0 lose against the current champions of Skënderbeu Korçë. Çota scored his first goal of the season in a 1–5 lose against his former side Teuta Durrës on 11 September.

On 5 October 2014, he scored the second goal of the season, an opener in a 2–0 win over against they survival rivals of Apolonia Fier to help Elbasani to get its first three points of the new season. Çota scored his third goal of the season, an opener in 9th minute in a 2–0 away win against Teuta Durrës, giving the team the second victory of the season.

On 6 January 2015 Çota rejoined Teuta Durrës for a third time, becoming the club's third winter signing. Only four days later, he scored a goal in a friendly match against his former team KF Tirana, who finished with a 2–2 draw. In the first official match of 2015, Çota scored the only goal of his team in the 2–1 lose of Teuta against Flamurtari Vlorë (later was considered as a autogoal from Vukašin Tomić), a match that was considered as manipulating from AFA. He played 17 league games for the club and scored twice, as he helped them avoid relegation before leaving at the end of the season.
