The Eastern bent-wing bat, (Miniopterus fuliginosus) is a species of vesper bat in the family Vespertilionidae. It is found in South Asia, Far-east Asia and also in Southeast Asian regions.
Head and body length is 10–11 cm. Forearms are 4–5 cm. Wingspan is 30–31 cm.
Color varies from reddish brown to dark blackish brown above, underparts are lighter. Wing membrane is blackish brown. Fur is dense and soft, long above and short below. Ears are small, cheeks are hairless below the eyes.
This species was once considered as a subspecies of the common bent-wing bat, but now it has been accepted that the Eastern bent-winged bat and Australasian bent-winged bat are two species.
Known as දික්-පිය වවුලා in Sinhala.
