Michael Jon Wood (born 17 March 1976) is a British Conservative Party politician. He has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Dudley South since May 2015.

He was previously one of three councillors representing the ward of Pedmore and Stourbridge East on Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council.

Wood made his maiden speech in the House of Commons on 1 June 2015.

He was successful in the ballot held on 4 June 2015 to obtain the right to introduce a Private Members' Bill. The first reading of the bill entitled Riot Compensation was held on 24 June 2015. If passed the Bill would repeal the Riot (Damages) Act 1886 and make various changes to the procedures of obtaining compensation for property damaged in riots. The Bill had its second reading debate on 4 December 2015 and third reading 5 February 2016, which meant it could be passed on to the House of Lords for further debate. The Bill had its first reading in the House of Lords on 8 February 2016 and will be debated in the Lords on 26 February 2016.

Wood is married with two children. In early 2017 he was affected by sepsis and was subsequently absent from parliament until 26 April.
