The club plays its home matches at the Don Amott Arena, formerly known as the Mickleover Sports Ground and more commonly referred to as Station Road after the road on which it is located.

The club was formed in 1948 and spent the first 44 years of their existence competing locally in the Derby and District Senior League. In 1993, they joined the Central Midlands Football League Premier Division, gaining promotion to the Supreme Division two years later.
