Thizz Entertainment is a San Francisco Bay Area-based, independent record label, started as Romp Records in 1996 by rapper Mac Dre. In 1999, he changed the label's name to Thizz Entertainment to avoid implying a connection to the Romper Room Gang. Dre thought the name Thizz perfectly expressed how it felt when you were high on ecstasy which was becoming popular in the Bay Area hip hop scene.

On November 1, 2004, Mac Dre was shot and killed by an unknown assailant after a performance in Kansas City, Missouri, Per Mac Dre's written direction before his untimely passing, Dre's mother Wanda Salvatto "Mac Wanda" took over the label and registered it as the current company Thizz Entertainment LLC. The label's base of operations was then moved back to the Bay Area.

Thizz Entertainment has been fundamental in the growth and popularity of the Bay Area Hyphy movement.

Mac Dre's most popular albums including, Ronald Dregan: Dreganomics, The Genie of the Lamp, Thizzelle Washington, Mac Dammit And Friends, Don't Hate The Player Hate The Game, Mac Dre's the Name, and Al Boo-Boo were released under Thizz Entertainment.

Thizz Entertainment created Treal TV and most recently released the Mac Dre documentary Legend of the Bay in 2015.

Thizz Entertainment sells their CDs and DVDs via local distribution (City Hall Records in San Rafael).
