Kepulauan Meranti (or Meranti Islands) is a regency (kabupaten) of Riau Province, on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia. The regency comprises the islands of Tebing Tinggi, Padang and Rangsang. The principal town is Selat Panjang. The regency covers an area of 3,707.84 km2, and had a population of 176,290 at the 2010 Census; the latest official estimate (as at January 2014) was 202,400.
