Melissa Goddard

Melissa Goddard is a film producer. She was executive producer of Poison Ivy, starring Drew Barrymore, and its sequels Poison Ivy II and Poison Ivy: The New Seduction. She also produced Step Kids (a.k.a. Big Girls Don't Cry They Get Even), an ensemble family comedy, directed by Joan Micklin Silver, and starring Dan Futterman, David Strathairn and Griffin Dunne. Goddard produced another franchise, National Lampoon's Senior Trip starring Jeremy Renner. Goddard is a descendant of Robert H. Goddard – the inventor of the rocket ship. Her actor father, Mark Goddard played Don West in the series, Lost in Space.

Goddard's movies for TV include Final Appeal (NBC), Father and Scout (ABC) and Sharon's Secret (USA Networks). Goddard was appointed Senior Vice President of Wind Dancer (Roseanne, Home Improvement). There, Goddard was responsible for What Women Want, starring Mel Gibson.

Goddard worked for Winchester Films to become President of Production before being moving to Concept Entertainment. Goddard partnered with Australian, Georgie Smith to create production company Eclectic Entertainment.

One of Goddard's film properties is the feature film, My Name is Jody Williams. Goddard met Williams in the eighties when they were both working for the victims of the civil war in El Salvador.

Goddard was a co-founder of Artists, Committee for Free South Africa (now Artists for a New South Africa) and served as the youngest member of the board of Hollywood Women's Political Committee.
