Maulana Syed Arshad Madani (born in 1941) is the current president of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind. Sheikhul Islam Hadhrat Maulana Syed Husain Ahmad Madani (1879 – 1957) was his father. Maulana Arshad Madani succeeded his elder brother Maulana Syed As'ad Madani and became president of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind on February 8, 2006.

He is a staunch critic of religious sectarianism in India. He is of the opinion that India was divided in 1947 because of religious sectarianism among the population of British India and the violence related to it. He suggests secularism is the only way for the solidarity and integrity of a united India.

He asserts that the current prime minister Narendra Modi is not acceptable to all Muslims of India. Muslim hostility to Modi is not softening recently at all as some circles in the Indian news media have suggested. He asks, in the TV interview, that how can Indian Muslims forgive Modi who was responsible for initiating and condoning the 2002 Gujarat riots and the ensuing violence against Muslims in India which Maulana Arshad Madani calls a mass murder of Muslims. He reminds everyone that Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat at that time.
