Ayunda Faza Maudya, who is more recognizable with her stage name Maudy Ayunda (Indonesian pronunciation: [ˈmau̯di aˈjunda]; English pronunciation: /ˈmɔːdi əˈjuːndə/; born 19 December 1994), is an Indonesian singer-songwriter and actress.
Maudy's first major film debut was Untuk Rena (2005) acting alongside Surya Saputra. Following, she landed a bigger role in Sang Pemimpi (2009), directed by Riri Riza. She played a character by the name Zakiah Nurmala, as the protagonist's love interest, where her song "Mengejar Mimpi" was also featured in the soundtrack.
In 2011, Ayunda appeared in the movie musical Rumah Tanpa Jendela and Tendangan dari Langit. The following year, she appeared in the film Malaikat Tanpa Sayap, alongside Adipati Koesmadji. The film also reunited Maudy with Surya Saputra.
Ayunda released her debut album, titled Panggil Aku..., in 2011. The album contains 10 songs, one of which she wrote ("Tetap Bersama"). For the soundtrack of the film Perahu Kertas (2012), she sang the song "Perahu Kertas", written by Dewi Lestari.
In January 2014, she recorded a duet titled "By My Side" with singer David Choi. The song has received airplay in Indonesia, and was released on iTunes Music Indonesia on January 10, 2014. Music video has been released on YouTube on 19 March 2014. She has released her second studio album Moments on April 1, 2015. In addition, the album produced three other singles: "Cinta Datang Terlambat", "Bayangkan Rasa" and "Untuk Apa" and earning Multi-Platinum award due to selling over 200.000 copies.
